My truck 06 z71 Tahoe has been running terrible I replaced MAF and throttle body is new which came with sensor 3 years ago. Along with sputtering upon acceleration while I’m driving steady at say 50mph even cruise control on more often, the truck will jerk or surge or bang just not pleasant and it’s worrisome. It’s probably the torque converter. I just got exhaust and she was really moving. I went from having parts for stage 2 btr truck kit, Ls 2 timing chain L6 beehives just waiting for me to get the extra money for that goodness and now I’m just hoping I can keep her going. Any one ever experience this issue with these codes or symptoms?

my first suspect would be the maf, very typical for the issue you are reporting, i would try another maf and see if it resolves the problem, if not then return it.

Welcome to the forum @Z71Tahoe06 and post more pics, please.

We recommend that you put all your rig(s) info in your signature so we all don’t have to guess at year, make, model, engine size, trans, rear axle locker…….etc. While you may have posted pertinent info in your first post, you may forget to do it again and the info is needed by us anyway. Makes it way easier on all members that attempt to help, to have that info right up front. It is also recommended that you take a pic of your RPO codes, on the inside cover of the glove box, and post that image in your signature. All this info will greatly help those that will try to help with a problem.

If there is any other info, like upgrades, mods or recent mechanical/maintenance work done, that would be helpful in any post as well. Too many times a question is asked by the poster and after about 10 responses we find out that the poster has done recent work to attempt to fix the problem or work that was done that SEEMS not related to the problem.

the maf should not require a relearn, it's possible you could have a short in the maf or throttle body harness I would check the wiring carefully

Both parts replaced 3yrs ago?
Intake tube dry inside? I’ve always been skidish of kn filters on anything with a maf
Monitor your throttle position sensors while wiggling and moving the wires at the tb, monitor through a very slow throttle sweep, see if either makes a problem jump out.

Thanks guys I will try checking the wiring meticulously. I just pulled the p0102 code again with a c0558
I’m just so concerned about the truck jerking while driving steadily around 50mph. It has me so convinced it can’t be any of the code related issues I’m having. If my torque converter is in fact going out wouldn’t I pull a code or not necessarily? Thank you so much guys for feedback.
