Time To Do My Brakes.

Was at the dealership getting my oil changed and tires rotated last week. The service manager said I’ll need to do the brakes at the next service. I have been seeing a lot more dust on the wheels and the fluid level is down so maybe he’s right.
I want wilwoods. I don’t need them, but wouldn’t mind them. The dealership offered me the GM Brembos up front and stock rear replacements for like $2400 installed lol
As of now I’m running the stock 22”s never installed my 24”s. Does anyone run stock brakes with oversized wheels? On my last gen Escalade I did stock sized slotted rotors ceramic pads and braided lines with my 24”s and didn’t have any issues. Looking for suggestions and or options of what others are running here.

Although, $2400 for the Brembos "seems" good. I haven't priced them out though.

That's crazy low mileage to need new brakes. Maybe they did not bed in properly. That's not a bad price for the brembos installed if they're doing front and rear.

Yikes. I have 28k and the dealer just told me I’ve got 50% left on my brakes.

Does this set up use factory calipers? I’m not impressed with my factory set up but don’t want to drop several thousand on wilwoods. If there’s a middle ground where I get improved braking without breaking the bank I’m interested.

Yes, this Baer uses the factory calipers, but the rotors, mounting bracket and pads are new and made by Baer.

Your statement about finding a middle ground between full on race level and a great improvement is exactly what the EradiSpeed kit offers. And at an affordable price.

Braking is tremendous as compared to factory with just this change as you are changing the lever effect by a good bit.. this allows the dual piston factory calipers to work much better.

Just do a thorough bed in of the new brakes and you are good to go..

Works great on my 09 6.2 Tahoe!! However if you want new factory style calipers, use the new Raybestos calipers for your model.

I like this idea, but it’s still an almost $2000 upgrade without doing the braided lines.

Yikes. I have 28k and the dealer just told me I’ve got 50% left on my brakes.

The brakes aren’t smoked yet, they said they would need to be done at the next service. The fronts have 35% and rears are almost half left. The truck still stops ok. I notice the pedal get soft in stop and go traffic
