HA! How the fu$@ are you supposed to know where he puts stuff?? You better watch HIS ass too!!
I still have the same tuned pcm from my 1st 6.0. So I guess if he puts anything other then a 6.0-- will it run and idle ok still? Going with the same spec'd cam as before.

Yeah I wasn't real impressed when he asked me that. I should have said "They are forged H beam rods".

I'm fairly certain it won't run right on the tune for the cammed 6.0. At a minimum, it would be extremely rich and probably have a high hanging idle from to much base airflow.

Do you have tuning software? You can download the tune and load it to the new PCM. I think they make a new programming software for free now... it only downloads and programs though. you cannot tune. It works on android phones, I cannot recall the name od it?

I don't have any software to tune. Wish I knew how to do that. Mine was tuned previously with the same cam specs as the replacement. That's why I got the cam that I did. I want to get the pcm tuned to turn on fans. Someone posted a link to a guy who does that for $50--but I can't find the link. Anyone know who I'm talking about?

Well, if it runs correctly hopefully he did the right thing. I've lost all faith and trust in this kid :(

How did you have it tuned before? EFI or HPT? and did you send the pcm in or did you have someone come out in person? If you have HPT I can turn the fans on for free.

DAMN! Wish I knew Dan. The shoo that originally did the cam(mechanical)work tuned it. I have no idea what they used to tune, and he was a douchebag! He put a hole in my newish condenser, and when I told him he basically called me a liar. I spent over 7k with him too. I told him to go FU@$ himself after he said that. Any way to tell what he used to tune?

Does it matter which one they used so long as it’s not locked? I don’t know anything about tuning, I’m just asking from what I’ve read here and there...

Without a device no I don't believe so. Basically, I would have to either see the truck in person and use my HPT device to connect to it. Or you find one to borrow to pull your current tune off with and email it to me or someone else with HPT. Fans are super easy to add takes less than 10 minutes but if your ECU isn't already unlocked by HPT then it would cost $100 in credits.

The same should apply to EFI live I just don't know much about it anymore. Idk what happened to my EFI autocal but I don't remember selling it, so it might be laying at the bottom of some parts pile.

Yes, it does matter because that's how the tuning software companies make their money. If someone paid EFI Live to unlock their ECU then tried to tune with HPT essentially HPT would make no money off that ECU. When I swapped from EFI to HPT I had to pay again.

That’s good to know for future purposes! Is one better than the other? Just wondering why you switched
