The 'fly by wire' vehicles will do that. Mat it in a low gear, and when it gets to redline, the throttle just closes. Same thing at the speed limit.

Haven't been that fast in our Tahoe, but I'm CERTAIN my wife has gone faster in it than she'll admit. So far, I've gotten the word 'ninety' out of her.

I've done over 100. Felt fine, no issues. Brakes are not adequate for doing so on an open road

I had my 03 Denali to 130mph, a bit scary in that pig. Tahoe and truck never over 100. No need.

I had a 2005 Escalade PPV/Secret Service ESV that would run 130~135. I never had an issue with stability...but brakes are another story !!!

mine has speed limiter .... for now. until i can save up some funds for a BBP tuner
i should be ok on brakes

have heard there are possible driveshaft issues much above 120-130

It's all good !! If you do much of the triple digit running make sure you have the tires for it!! Anything less than a properly inflated V Rated or better may very well come apart....NFG !!!
