So, I updated my autocal with the newest update and was gonna reprogram everything back to stock for the winter. I took off my rims and put the stock 17" rims back on. I reprogrammed my engine and trans back to stock and now I feel like my transmission is slipping. In first gear, it slips pretty bad, (it feels like when I accelerate, a weight is sliding back.) Second gear feels like it slips a lot. It seems to be a bunch of small slips.

Now I went from a 24" rim to a 17" rim. That is gonna make a difference in the way it shifts right? When I recorded the stock ecm and tcm, I had the 24" rims on. So when I put the 17" rims on and set it back to stock, it still thinks I have 24" rims on right and will shift according to that size?

I am at a loss as to how to get this not to slip and have tried unplugging the battery thinking maybe that would reset everything. Any help would be extremely awesome. Thanks for reading!

The wheel size shouldn't matter at all. I am quite sure I'm getting slipping, too, but I'm trying to really get a handle on it first, since the dealer doesn't feel what I feel...

Transmission slipping would really bug the hell out of me. I would recommend taking it to the dealer and having them take a look at it. You wouldn't want to get your transmission rebuilt anytime soon.

I had mine rebuilt a few months ago with 80k on it. Man I miss my 2002 tahoe! They are definitely cutting corners on quality in GM.

Wow, 80k and already rebuilt?! Thats a lil early in my opinion. I only have 70k on it and it was running fine until switching back to the stock tires. I think I am gonna head to the shop and see if they can restore it back to manufacturer settings. Hope it works, any other ideas and thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks everyone for your help! You all are the best!

I guess any of them can go bad. I had my tranny go out on my 02 Yukon at a little over 20K. I think the new ones are supposed to be better. With a 100K powertrain warranty they aren't going to cut corners to much but they did add the torque management to try and protect it.

IMO some of that slipping feel is probably due to returning the tune back to stock. How much torque management did you reduce with the tune? Typically all the engine TM is removed with ~75% from the tranny.
