2005 Yukon Denali XL

Anybody got a schematic or recognize this?

Finishing replacing oil cooler lines. While I was pulling the old ones out and the new ones in, there was one exposed red (maybe 18-gauge) wire heading out of the loom that runs across the front of bottom of the engine (6.0). At some time in the line reinstallation I managed to pull that red wire loose - bare wire came out of whatever it was crimped into and it's hanging out of its little loom. There are no sensors close to anywhere it could reach - nothing around there that I can find. Someplace around the driver's side front of the bottom of the engine.

Obviously when I'm done something won't work or there will be some indication, but if I had any idea where it might have been connected I could fix it right now while the truck is jacked up.

Thanks !!

Left side between the center link and oil pan. It reaches to the front differential, or the underside of the PS pump. Nothing to attach to that I can find.

Didn't check voltage yet but it's a no-start with the wire disconnected. Cranks fine. No MIL.

That but connector (or barrel connector) looks like a repair. Hard to tell in the photo, but it almost looks like the wire coming out of the protective loom might be black with tan or yellow stripe. Can you get up there closer to see what the original wire color code is?

Won't help me, but might help someone else identify what that is supposed to connect to...

It does look like a bullet connector, but if it's a repair it's really old. Bought the vehicle in 2008 with 36K. I sure didn't do it.

Would it cross over the front of the pan to a loom on the passenger side?

The wire it comes from is a thin, fairly stiff, plain black wire that is in its own plastic armor cover maybe 4-5 inches long from where it branches off a larger harness. This single armor was ty-rapped to the larger harness as you'd do to keep it out of the way.
