Ok, I think I'm behind the power curve on the corvette servo. I've noticed several guys have installed it. Basically, I know nothing about it. What are the benefits? oh and does it fit the 4.8? tell me whatcha know, I'm clueless lol

yes, fits all 4l60E's, helps firm up the shift points, for firmer shifts...sloooooow shifts from the factory is mainly slippage, which leads to premature tranny failures.

You can get them for about $25 to $40.

PS most tranny shops will install it realitively cheap, good time to change filter and fluid anyway.

So installing a corvette servo should prolong the life of the tranny?

yes sir. Firms up the shift...the lag between shifts, is smooth if your old and want comfort, but that lag is actually the clutches slipping...heat, burn, damage.
