The only thing that's easy is locating it and looking at it like he did in the video. Notice he never actually loosened it or adjusted it! Youll see once you give it a try. It's at a bad angle. Looks easy though you're right about that.

Fair enough thanks for the heads up I was gonna tackle it this weekend but surprise surprise I got called into work

Got my new tires this weekend. Last part of my lift project (The whole point of the lift was to be able to run 285/75/16's.)

My original plan was to go with the old tried-and-true BFG AT KO2's but after looking around at other options I decided I'd try something a little less expensive. Went with a relatively new tire on the market, Falken Wildpeak AT3W. The thing I liked about it was that it has both an aggressive AT design and also the "severe weather" mountain/snowflake rating for snowy and icy roads. Since my 'Burb is a "winter taxi" as well as a trailer tug, that was important to me.

Here she sits in the driveway with the new tires on. I have to say, I like the stance. Would like it if it was a bit higher in the front but I'm not willing to crank the T-bars any higher and risk premature wear to the CV joints.

I was afraid the it would look weird going back to 16's from the 17's it had on it before. I'm not a huge fan of the "cyclone" or "hurricane" wheels but IMO they look better on the truck than they do sitting on the ground, and they're in better shape than my 17's were (which had some nasty salt corrosion on them) so I'll keep them for the forseeable future.

EDIT: Notice that the lower corner of the air dam gets close to the tires. I may look into trimming that back just a bit. Any recommendations for how to do that?

Good choice on the Falken's. Had ours for just over 7,000 miles and they have been great! Can't wait to see what they will do in the snow.

Good to hear. I saved about $200 going with the Falkens instead of BFG's. I was at $830 OTD at Discount Tire. Would have been well over a grand with the BFG's.

I just ordered 1 of the new Falken's today in a 275/60-20. Next pay period a second will be ordered and as soon as I sell these Hankook's or Mastercraft Msr's or both set's, haha. I will order the other pair. I'm getting them through work for less than I found online at DTD even paying the 20% mark-up above cost.

The in-laws drove the Tahoe back home (DFW area) with our 3 year on Sunday. They will be picking up family members that are coming in town for Thanksgiving. They pulled up in their driveway, and my father-in-law said there was grinding and some "other stuff". Not very observant nor mechanical inclined. So my dad swung by and took her to his mechanic. The 4wd was engaging at low speeds so a new transfer case it is. $1500 with a 3 year warranty plus the cost of install. Needless to say not what I wanted to spend money on right before the holidays.
