If you have RPO ZW7 then you need to swap out the rear springs too. I recently did a ZW7 delete on mine.

I was able to unload mine on Craigslist for 200.00 with the matching springs, when I did my rear lift.Btw- Anyone want the Sachs rear shocks? I'd hate to throw good shocks away. Fronts are a little rusty, but I think they're still good also. Free to anyone who wants to pick them up. Front and/or rears. Mailing would kill the free vibe.
Is it a softer spring that won't work well with the KYB's?
EDIT: I think/hope it'll be OK. Just looked it up on the site and it says I can use the Excel-G's with the ZW7 option. Keep your fingers crossed.

My truck rode about 2in lower when I replaced my nivomats with bilsteins. It looked cool rode smooth but didn't have any load handling ability. Even bottomed out once just driving around. Nivomats have a built in spring and you will see you cannot compress them by hand like other shocks. I replaced mine with bilsteins factory spring. Handles better than the nivomats but doesn't have the same load handling ability it did stock. If I'm reading it right, says truck will sag if loaded. I don't really ever load it up, and the sag wouldn't be too bad in my eyes, since it sits higher in the rear then I like anyway. Now I'm just concerned about the handling with the new shocks.
