That sucks man. Must have been a hard hit. No recourse for the deadbeat driver I assume. That's a tough call on the next truck. The nnbs have that dash cracking issue.. they are more finished look but I like my steel bumpers.

Yeah it doesn't look like a ton of damage, but hood, fender, bumper, grill, headlight, rad support and frame where rad support connects are damaged. Its the frame damage that likely decided it.

The ol' girl was nearing 200k so im not surprised.

Are you going to buy it back from the insurance company?

Just found out the Nali is totalled...Bummed.

Maybe I'll look for an esky to replace it. I'd be happy with a clean low mileage burb too i suppose.

I'd like to stay in an NBS, wife wants something newer.
Dang. You weren't even finished with your build! Now you get to start over though.

I was still working on catching up on maintenance lol.

Ive got a pile of parts in the garage still... wheels, toe rods inner and outer, pitman/idler, control arms, sonnax trans booster and some other transmission parts I cant remember, external trans filter, a case of transmission fluid...

it'll all go on the new rig I suppose. Just glad that I didn't have a ton of money into it that I would have lost.

Doubtful atm. I have not actually spoken to them, only the body shop.

This is also my first rodeo with a totalled vehicle.
I got ****** a couple of years ago. I had a 2001 Dakota, 145k, ran great. Hit a deer, insurance cut me a check for trade in value, nowhere near what the truck would have cost to replace but it was what they were willing to pay, by what the body shop gave their way overestimated damage. So it basically cost me a perfectly good vehicle for $2500 check. Still pissed. And note, I owned it from Day 1, paid just shy of 25k new.
