Haha! Speaking of train horns I went a more legal route. I collected two sets of 4tone classic caddy horns and mounted all eight behind my front bumper. Not quite as loud as actual train horns but they're pretty damn loud and get the point across lol.

Took the Hoe on a 140 mile round trip today. On the turnpike took it up to 127! Was pulling fast and hard. Had a lot more peddle, but I didn't want to push my luck, plus my gf was with me! Lol
Side not: I'm not crazy how it rides now once I lowered it. Bounces too much, plus you feel everything. Maybe I'll eventually get spindles. If I do that, I'll have to put the stock keys back in. I wonder if I put Z71 front jounce stops in if it'll alleviate some of the bouncing. Opinions?

When I lowered my OBS Tahoe I lowered it keys & shackles and road a lil rough put on some shocks made for the amount I lowered it and it road smooth I know the NBS suspension is a lil different

Do the obs have leaf springs in the rear or coil springs?

Leaf, but if you look on the Belltech site for these trucks they have shocks for stock height or lowered could be something as simple as that

Gotta hit the junkyards for those! Mid to late 80's el dorados, devilles, and a few rare Buicks. Three of the horns were crapped out so I had to rebuild them but they're all good as new. Removed my stock horn, soldered in a GM connector to my homemade harness for the horns and it plugged right up to the factory wiring. Wish I would've took pictures all along the way like you do with all your mods 05single!

Oh and I saw what you did with those eagle eyes for the courtesy lights on your mirrors (they came out clean and flawless btw man!) and it made me think about taking the courtesy lamp housings from my factory mirrors and mounting them in my tow mirrors with led bulbs?

Factory horns can be rebuilt? How do you do that? What can be repaired on them?

Did you put new regular jounce stops in yet? If not just go to the dealer and buy them, don't bother ordering and waiting. If you're lowered you don't want the Z71's they'll raise you back up a little.
