Used to love scooping bodies and or body parts off the road when folks didn't wear seatbelts

All you guys.... please wear your seatbelts. Seriously. I know it feels confining, but your chances of getting trapped in the seatbelt are much less than you getting ejected and dying.

I can attest to this fact as well. I was in a collision in my first car when I was 18. A lady T-***** me, slammed directly into my passenger side. If I would have had a passenger, he/she would have been SERIOUSLY injured. And even though I WAS actually wearing a seatbelt, the way she hit me from the passenger side, it basically threw me sideways, out from under my shoulder belt. My head broke the rearview mirror off the windshield as I flew towards the passenger side of the car. My lower half stayed in the seat because the lap belt kept me in place. But the force of the impact had my basically laying across the front seats, since the shoulder belt only goes over your LEFT shoulder, and I flew to the right. I had to go to physical therapy for 6 months, and had pretty moderate back pain the whole time. Come to think of it, that's possibly a contributing factor of my spinal problems I have endured over the years. I had a major spine surgery in 2015. But what I am basically getting at, is that I ALWAYS wear a seat belt! I almost feel naked without it. That's the first thing I always do after I turn the ignition on. You never know how, what, when, or where you might be in an accident. I was in an accident in September, I rear ended a woman because she stopped FAR too quickly, and I just couldn't stop my big ass Suburban as fast as she stopped her little Honda. I'm glad once again that I had my seat belt on. IMG_20180910_091859052.jpg

Paint shop sneak peak:

Paint is done! I’m still in India but a friend sent me some pictures. It’s looking awesome! The custom fender flares are beefy as hell. We removed the rear wiper and the stock roof rack.

Next we’ll install my new Fab Fours roof rack, remove all the rust underneath and spray with Chassis Saver, replace the rear axle and the two front CV axles.

My track bar broke completely off the rear axle due to rust. We welded it back on as a temporary fix but now we’re replacing the axle from the junk yard. Both CV boots are leaking so we’ll swap those too.

Might also install a 240 watt alternator and replace the battery. I fly home in two days but might not go get the Tahoe for a couple more weeks. :(

Those look great, man!

That's my favorite look for yours, man. Just fits like a glove.

You guys... :gayfight:

Glad you're okay, brother. Sucks to lose a great vehicle like that, but vehicles can be replaced. You... .not so much.

Tony please, I beg of you.... working where I work, I'll never go anywhere in a vehicle ever again without one. Just the other night we had a guy not wearing his seat belt roll his blazer, get ejected, then get run over by two cars... he was basically dead before the medics even arrived, but he was asystole so they had to transport him. Never had a chance, poor bastard.

Yeah, I lost a good friend to an accident where he was thrown from the vehicle, but his wife survived because of her seatbelt. I can't move if mine isn't on, just doesn't feel right.

What console is this? Never seen one. It's not the Regency or Southern Comfort one either. Their door panels are also different. It's in an 02 with 114k for sale locally for $3k, but there's no external body cladding or mods
