I gave up on finding a good fix for my sunroof wind deflector, and instead installed a relatively low profile sunroof deflector. Definitely an improvement over not having anything deflecting the wind, especially on the highway.

Re-pinned the amp harnesses for the LUX upgrade. Bought the TDS sub and installed the software. It seems to recognize my VCX Nano. Tomorrow will program the radio and hook it all up.

This amp is longer than the premium Bose. The console frame has a spot for the bolts, but not the plastic threaded square dealios. I couldn't get the old ones out from the other holes just due to the tight working space and I'm not about to pull the whole console. Wondering if there's a part number for those things I can order? Or just hit a junkyard....

So now the temp gauge appears to be working all of the sudden, not sure if it's fully working tho, but still running like garbage. Almost sounds like a miss.IMG_0430.jpg
Gf said it was throwing off alot of heat too, just radiating heat. Felt like the heat was on, but it wasn't. Gauge shot to 210, then went back to what the pic is showing, and stayed there. Opinions--temp sensor? Thermostat? I haven't been able to put a scanner on it yet.

If the thermostat isn't closing and is allowing free flow of coolant, the coolant isn't sitting long enough to soak the heat off the motor, so makes sense that the motor would be heating up like a son of a gun, right? And when metal gets hot, it expands, which could be why your truck is running poorly.

Maybe someone will be along to prove why I'm wrong, but that's my shadetree thoughts on it.

edited to add: Have you had any overheating symptoms, or notice any white smoke in the exhaust?

No overheating symptoms, or white smoke from the exhaust. I just ordered a new thermostat and temp sensor. Hoping this'll solve it.
