Gonna drive it. Got about a quarter tank left and a fuel pump arriving today.

You’re supposed to replace the fuel pump when it’s full. :win:
Don't tempt fate and drive too far from home or your fortune of having an empty tank will be superseded by breaking down somewhere and needing a tow.

For sure. It's not exhibiting signs of failure other than a bit of low pressure KOEO and having a hard time starting on first crank randomly. Figured other than effort, wasn't a big deal to fire the parts cannon at it since the OEM is at 165k. If it doesn't fix my problem, hopefully I'll get another 165k out of this Delphi. Still runs like a turpentine cat, so might not be the cure.

One day Ill be able to update my build thread. Until then I keep fixing things that keep breaking just to drive this thing.

Anyone ever drilled out the shift lever on the trans selector and replaced it with a nut and bolt and some washers for the shifter cable? Valet at the hospital yesterday destroyed the bushing in there and he cable popped off, and after all the reading and searching I've done in the last few hours it seems if I slap one of the bushing replacements in there, itll fail in a few months.

I've got one sitting in my garage for a year now. Was gonna do it when we did my motor and trans, but we didn't get around to dropping the tank and swapping it out. Was gonna get it done at a later date.

Then my mechanic died.
