FWIW I fully support this plan.
I actually found your build on youtube right as I purchased my Tahoe and love how yours is set up as well. Seeing your build process help inspire me to get into my Tahoe and actually make it fun. At first it was just going to be a vehicle to pull my boat and haul around the family, but now its become so much more. I'm grateful to be amongst some great builds I've followed for years.

So the other day, while accelerating, I felt an intermittent vibration. Nothing crazy, but I noticed it. Seemed like possibly a u-joint.. I have not heard any actual noise. I had a look underneath today, and the rear diff has some grease covering it, but not terrible. I did notice the vent line was on, but not fully seated on the diff. I cleaned it up a bit, and seated the vent fully. U-joints all seem 100% solid, but they are the originals, with the nylon. I also noticed a bit of grease where the driveshaft goes into the transmission tail housing. To be honest, I remember this had some grease before I had the transmission replaced, back in July, and it didn’t seem very fresh, so I’m wondering if that’s old residue. However, I did notice some play in that area if I pull on the driveshaft. Is this normal..?
Never closed the loop on this post.. I verified the u-joints, driveshaft, etc. are good. No excessive play anywhere. I hopped in the truck to drive a few days later, and noticed I had left the tcase in “Auto”. I rarely use this, or 4hi, but tbh, with the addition of a little power, and the wet weather we have around here, it’s been pretty sketchy, accidentally spinning all over the place. So I forgot I had put into “Auto” mode. Perhaps the slight vibration was the front engaging while the rears were trying to break loose :yaoface2:

Not working on mine this weekend, but my dad sent me this last night. A friend is over helping get the rear quarter panels cleaned up. Someone before we bought it filled in a some dents with bondo. Dad's going to drop the headliner off this week so it can get recovered. And I need to order new rockers and lower rear quarter sections to replace ones that are starting to show rust. Otherwise its finally coming together.

You can make the Escalade rear glass and third brake light work. @adventurenali92 did it to his Denali.

Put the third row back in. I need to see about lubricating the springs/mechanisms as there’s a bit of oxidation from sitting in the garage.

Tried to grease the suspension but my pos gun wasn’t working well and I ran out of grease. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Took it for a drive to get some Braums. The one thing I managed to grease was the idler arm where it connects to the center link and that seemed to maybe have fixed a clunk I have had. Maybe I forgot to grease it when I installed over two years ago? Lololol. It’s possible. I put it on when I had the heads off for replacing a cracked one in 2020 2x. And I’m getting old. I know I greased the top part because the Delco one came with an extension like the Moog problem solvers.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
