It's an idea. I could probably just buy a new one off of eBay and get it shipped to him cheaper than trying to ship mine from Canada. I have a US mailbox in MI for receiving parts though so it's definitely do-able

Well my truck has been making some Messed up noises lately... had a hard time tracking it down. Turns out my rear diff didnt have enough oil in it. Still unsure how low it is, but last night I added a whole quart and it still wanted more... parts store was closed by that time so I will pick up another quart today and add it in. see how much she takes...

I cant believe it has been going for 25k miles on that low of oil... Because it doesnt leak anything, never has. So sometime while the PO had it they either changed fluid and didnt put enough in or something else... freaking sucks.

At least that isn't the hardest thing to check - use a 3/8 ratchet, open the fill hole and stick your finger in to see if you can touch fluid. Glad your rear end didn't fail - hopefully it hasn't done any damage.

How many miles have you driven since you noticed it?

Oh there is definitely damage... its still noisy. Im just hoping it holds up until tax return time...

I have driven about 2k miles since I first noticed it. Within that time it has started a weird metal tick/squeak. that was the noise that was hard to track down because its only under loaded acceleration.
