Ive heard good things about the Motive. What did it set you back? I tried the vacuum one from HF and it failed miserably.
You must have gotten a bad one because I bought the same one when I did the front brake upgrade and it worked awesome!

I kept getting leaks around the bleeder valves themselves; I think pushing it from the master cylinder is a better design than pulling it from the bleeders. As soon as I loosened one enough to let fluid through it would suck air too. I tried using pipe tape around the bleeder valves and new bleeder valves but my rears were the original calipers and maybe the threads were worn.

Did you put grease around the bleeders? That should help seal them there.
