Nah mine don't even work, never have. I was chasing squeaks last year and removed the shoes thinking they were the problem and never even put then back. I guess one day I could reinstall them and see if I can adjust them. I just never really need em.
This is good to know. I have a roational rubbing sound that I suspect is the parking brake. I never use the thing so if elimination solves the noise, that will be my fix for it

I don’t ever use it either. Next time I have my rear rotors off for any reason I’m planning to lose the shoes and cables.
I don’t trust this thing to release.C385039E-E09A-491A-B00F-D671C137875E.jpeg

Your center painted or dip?
Painting over a chrome grill I always hear chirping and flaking is an issue, I didn’t know if dip might hold up better than paint, and easier to retouch. I don’t think there’s any other route for the surround though
I dipped the chrome on the HD grill. It's been around 3-4 yrs with no real issues.IMAG0262.jpg20180217_142947.jpg20171112_162506.jpg

Nice to see that it’s holding up so well. From what I could find it seems like there’s mixed results on the longevity of plastidip, but I’m wondering if early issues are largely from too light of application.
I like how it looks on yours, but all black surround on a pewter Denali hasn’t grown on me yet. OTOH I could just do it anyway… half the point of plastidip is being able to just peel it off if you don’t like it

If you apply, make sure to do alot of coats of dip. The more costs, the easier it will peel if you decide you don't like it. I also dipped my front chrome bumper. I have 0 chrome on my Tahoe, and I like it that way.

I got the wiring for my HPT ProLink done. They stash in the fuse compartment when not in use. The cubby holds the laptop USB connection.
now thats a cool set up.

i need to run a usb cord in my ss. not sure where i want to have it come out, glove box or console. i need it to input a serial connection from the wideband to the HPT scanner. ive got the old standard mpv1, so theres no stashing that lol

I see it, but it's definitely a challenge. They should offer them in bright colors instead of just black.

With my old eyes, I buy some things in bright colors for this reason. I get phone cases with silver on them. Neon or reflective metallic tape on tools helps.

You're almost guaranteed to not lose any tool from Harbor Freight!

The tape is a good idea. Think I’ll get some.

My garage floor is light grey, so Its easier for black stuff to be found.

TRUTH, the Harbor Freight stuff just seems to never disappear, May have to buy a 10mm HF socket and 13 deep. Guaranteed to never run away....
