George, did you replace that with a GM or Dorman unit? They appear to be from the same factory, both show Signapore on the labels on online photos.
James,
The problem resolved itself. Turned out to be an issue with the circuit resistance for the passenger seat airbag. I unplugged and reconnected the connector and all is well.

Ok. I ought to do the same when the weather clears. We were working above it with the condenser so not too sure if we caused it or not.

Just recently traded in my 09 Denali with 140k and thought the dealer gave me a crack head price for it but this takes the cake
Well, at least its clean looking.......

I paid $17.5 for my 2012 Denali XL with 134k on it in July 2019. Its so reliable you can't pry the keys out of my hands....not for love or money..

Yeah this gives me a 0% also. Maybe I'll hook up the Tech2 tomorrow and see what it says the Ethanol % is. Maybe I just have 0% in there, lol.
So I hooked up the Tech2 this evening and it showed a 3% ethanol content. I then unplugged it and plugged my OBDLink MX+ Bluetooth dongle in and started the Torque app and it showed 3.1%.

I guess yesterday it was still calculating after she filled it up. She did it right after leaving work and drove about 25 miles home. Then she drove it to work and back today and I checked it after she got home.

Still surprised that it's only 3%. The last 3 tanks have been Mobil premium, Mobil premium, and Quick Trip premium.

Had a new Delphi fuel pump installed today, seems to have cured her of the idle miss. And hopefully the stalling that happened a while back.

Paying the bill caused me to reflect a bit on shop billing practices. Don’t get me wrong, I was satisfied to pay the bill and put the problem in the rear view mirror. Yet it comes across as greedy to me when there’s a labor charge that’s probably 5x what the tech is being paid, AND the parts are marked up WAY above what anyone can pay across the counter at a retail parts store.

Yeah, I understand overhead, profit margins, and all that. But it leaves the taste of double dipping every time.

Just out of curiosity... where did you have this done and how much did they charge for parts and labor???

It’s because they price according to their competition, and auto repair shops are super busy right now. They might still be charging the same amount of hours the SM shows but their hourly rates are at an all-time high and they all seem to charge 2-3x (or more) what they pay for parts. It’s ridiculous and it’s the reason I do nearly all of my own work and will as long as I can still move.

Well, that and because there aren’t many good trustworthy shops anymore.
