What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Replaced the valve cover gasket on driver's side this weekend. Easy job. Nasty smelling burnt oil on the inside of valve cover. I ripped 1 of my new cover bolt grommet however by seating the grommet in the valve cover first then trying to push the bolt through, so have to order a new set (only 8 in the package, Mahle brand ones) in order to do the passenger side. I had better success by putting the grommet on the bolt first and then pushing the entire assembly through into the valve cover. Ribbed-side of the new GM OEM gasket goes into the valve cover groove. Also be weary of all the brittle plastic wire loom so that it doesn't fall into your valvetrain while removing and re-installing the valve cover : )

Valve cover bolts torque to 106-inch lbs.

Soapy water helps with the grommets. I need to this when it gets warmer out. They're not leaking but 103k miles probably will soon

That's good! Nice write-up. I watched this video a couple times too beforehand, literally same exact steps on the 6.2:

Purchased a new set of GM oil cooler lines (part #84828848) this morning, mine are leaking at the rubber flex lines up front near the radiator. Not looking forward to doing the actual work though haha
When I did mine, I took the opportunity to replace the drivers side motor mount. Makes both jobs easier. I also took off the left front wheel and the fender liner.

Not a bad idea on the motor mount. Did you also have to unbolt the front driveshaft for access, if you recall?
