My first time to change the oil on the [new to me] Tahoe. I put these Fumoto valves on every vehicle I own. I've been using them for 10 years without any trouble whatsoever. I absolutely love them.

I have not installed one on the Yukon yet but all my other cars have had them, except for the one that is slightly lowered and there is no cover protecting the drain plug area.
And, with the angle of the plug, if I put a Fumoto on there it would stick out even lower and I am afraid it would be knocked off by road debris.

Installed 5” rear springs today so officially at 4/5 drop now.

Ok I have been having an issue with a bottoming out in the rear with the 5" springs after they settled for about a week. Only at a few choice dips I got to hit is when this happens. I was not able to find ANY visual evidence of contact at the suspected locations:

Panhard mount to frame
swaybar to panhard
axle to frame (free travel mod done)
axle pumpkin to cross member

So I figured it had to be the factory shocks bottoming out. I ordered the 2410FF belltech shocks and put them on this weekend. Huge improvement in the ride, but I still feel a bottoming out at the usual suspect dips. This is driving me nuts.

thinkin that was from a fight with the free travel mod

mine hit the bump stops and then the axle side panhard bar mount, both those pics in yours looks fine, you sure the springs are seated in the top and stuff like that?
