Aside from not being able to turn off the stability control, my 2wd PPV is a FN rocking riot to drive in the snow!

That's the one thing I miss the most about living in Boston, driving in the snow was so much fun.
We don't get very much snow in NC, especially coastal NC.

I installed my new 255/65-17 Michelin X-ice winter tires just in time for another 4 inches of snow. They work great with the traction/stability control. But it would be much more fun if I could turn off the stability control, although it makes me behave. It's still a very quick 2WD in the snow, and fun to go sailing by all the 4WD vehicles struggling on all season tires. I've been running dedicated winter tires on all my vehicles for 22 years, and won't drive in the winter without them. Cheap insurance.
These 2wd ppv need some extra weight in the rear to help with traction!!!! I live/work in one of the colder snowy parts of Northern NY. Truck goes good. But you need to know when to say NO when trying to do 4wd stuff. But my PPV does not have a locking diff!!!! Single wheel peel sucks. Our Federal Goverment saving us money!!! LOL

You don't have the G80 differential? I thought they must be very common since even my PPV (from a county near Houston) has one. I'd think that almost all of the New York PPVs would have G80's. Have you looked at swapping in a G80?
