Worst case with colder is they foul up but hopefully may get a $200 High octane BBtune in November. Then colder would be more appropriate.

R= resistor
43= heat range
L= long
TS= tapered seat
6= gap (.060)

14mm thread, .708 reach, 5/8 hex for BOTH plugs. Exactly the same as the 41-993 (imagine that )

The R42LTS6 fit IF you want a colder heat range plug in a copper core.

I don't need Amazon or RockAuto's ''what it fits'' page the specs are out there. Just like the guys at the parts stores, they gotta have a year,make, and model or they can't tell you anything. :idiot:

That is exactly what I"m after.
And now I'm going to order them up tomorrow! Thanks again.

Ahh, that's the thing.
Allegedly if your making 75-100hp over stock, then you want to drop a heat range to prevent premature detonation which is enough to not cause fouling.
That's what I"ve been reading anyways.

Why/How does the octane level affect the heat range? I didn't read that anywhere?

The oil primer tool from autozone does not fit Vortec 350 oil pumps. The slot in the Vortec 350 pump appears slightly thinner then others.

DAMN!

Can't wait to see it finished! Let us know what a difference the new system makes

oh and why not just get a whole new dizzy while you're at it? It's probably some vortec compatibility issue isn't it?
