so last week I got rear-ended and then pushed into the truck in front of me, so the insurance is giving me $2600 to fix my truck, the damage really isn't that bad, need a new fender and grill and rear bumper and a barn door...
Problem is that I don't know if I want to keep it, its my daily driver and runs and drives good, but its 2 wheel drive, I had originally wanted a 4x4 but I pretty much gave in and figured I was ok with 2 wheel drive since I do a lot of highway driving. Ive been looking on craigslist and I see a lot of 4x4 trucks for about $2500, most are 1995-97 though so now im debating on using that money and getting a 4x4, or fixing my truck up and keeping it (a lot cheaper) and having money left over....
UGH WHAT TO DO WHAT TO DO...

Because bumpers and a lift won't make it a 4 wheel drive. I'd get a new one with 4x4 if it was my choice.

yea I had already went through the trying to make it look like a 4x4 phase, so after talking to my wife, Im with you Rolfsent, im going to buy a 4x4 and keep my two-wheel drive and fix it up as a street truck, or a parts truck because I don't trust that people will tell me about everything that is wrong with the truck before I buy it...
