I guess if you really didnt want it you could always donate it to the Humane society or whatever for blue book value tax deduction.

If you don't need the money keep it. I had a 93 Volvo 850 that I just recently sold because I bought another vehicle for my wife. But say you wreck a car, your insurance company will give you a rental car. A coverage you pay for. If you keep this Tahoe you could drop that coverage. Also I don't know the age of your kids but maybe keep it and fix it up for them with them so they'll have something to drive when they get 16. I bought a 98 Camaro SS and a 00 Silverado for my kids to restore and customize with them as they grow up. That way when they turn 16 they'll have a nice car they've worked on their whole life and will hopefully respect and take better care of than most 16 year old girls. My daughters will be 7 in September and 5 in January. Just a suggestion if you have kids, it allows you to spend quality time with your kids and pass down to them the automotive bug that us gear heads have.

I tried this tactic (my kids are 4 and 2) and my wife saw right through it as being me just wanting to buy new projects to work on :D I need to get better negotiating skills!! I do plan on doing this, too, though but I'll probably have to wait until they are at least 12 :)

Keeping it is not an option; too many vehicles and not enough space or time.
Will be listing on Ebay as a rebuilt transmission with a test vehicle around the transmission.
