    so this new seafoam method...

lol^^^ definitely. I did this seafoam bs outside the house and some guy down the street that was driving towards me thought i blew up my motor or something...hahaha tons of smoke, but don't worry...it's part of the plan.

    1999 HOE issue

So your SES light comes on when your oil pressure gauge falls down to 0 while driving? How long has it been since the light came back? Are you sure it's a prior code or one that you're dealing with now? Does your truck drive fine? Do you hear any lifter chatter, or knocking sounds? If you have...

    taillights don't work/fuse blowing

Appears to be the headlight switch. After work today, I came out, doublechecked the fuses for the hell of it, seem fine. Then went onto trying to shake and wiggle the headlight switch and eventually the lights came on!!! So tomorrow, I'll take the dash off and see if maybe the connection is bad...

sorry but need help again asap the tahoe is dead!

I'd check some of the wiring near the starter as well, maybe something got caught/shorted out and/or fried on the exhaust...

    Service Engine Light

Agree here as well. Get the codes checked but don't throw any money at it right away. Tell us what they are and we'll help figure it out. No reason whatsoever to just start wasting money until you know exactly what is wrong.

    so this new seafoam method...

With my previous motor in my s10 with over 110k miles, after running seafoam in it you could definitely notice how smoother it ran. I would do it again and plan on it too.

    Possible Spark Plug Problem

lol at those 2^^^^ seriously though, get the code(s) checked at autozone before going any further, find out if it's a random misfire or just related to 1 cylinder. a misfire could be due to number of things so getting the codes checked should be the first priority...and don't just throw money...

    taillights don't work/fuse blowing

Ok so I'm out here right now with the yukon. headlights work fine i guess, but taillights don't. all fuses related i think seem fine unless i'm missing something i don't know. apparently my bro broke the back door latch so we can't open that up to take a look at the taillights and it's...

    taillights don't work/fuse blowing

Thanks, I'll give something a try! lol I also forgot to mention that I've replaced the headlight switch a couple years ago with a junkyard one, but maybe it's time for another as well? The headlights and/or dash lights only come on when I turn the knob for the HL switch all the way to the right...

    taillights don't work/fuse blowing

what would cause this? the brake lights work when the pedal is pushed in, but besides that...nothing. i've replaced the fuse a couple times now, what could be the problem? do i need to take out the taillight lenses and visually inspect the wiring, or crawl underneath and check out some...

    question still a noob

Could be anything from a leaking radiator, bad water pump, intake gaskets or head gaskets. Check around the water pump, or the front and back of the intake for leaks.

fed up with this thing (searched)

Hmmm. Maybe I'll give it a shot then I guess. Do they sell the switch pigtails for the blower resistor at the parts store or do I need to go cut the one off from the JY?

New 99 Tahoe 2 door owner has questions

LOL....my bad? It's worked fine for me though. I've never heard or read about the way to do it in that link you posted until now...but I might have to give that a shot next time I do it with any car. Thanks for the link.

fed up with this thing (searched)

Ok so I just replaced the blower motor resistor with one from a junkyard...I didn't realize til' after the fact that the piece was only 17 bucks, and wasn't all that hard to replace too. I guess next is buying that, and also maybe the blower motor switch itself. Is it even possible to inspect...

New 99 Tahoe 2 door owner has questions

With the tuneup I'd go AC Delco. As for cleaning out the intake and injectors...try running a can of SEAFOAM through the brake booster hose with the car running before you go to change your oil. It says to put it in your gas tank but it won't work as well just being ran through there. I ran...

fed up with this thing (searched)

Oh ok, thanks! Yeah I meant to say on "high", thats the only setting it works on but it's completely random and we'll never know when it works so it's a real inconvenient pita to have to deal with. so basically the fan switch is located in the dash behind the gauges, knobs what not, and the...

fed up with this thing (searched)

Ok so it has been a long while since I posted...and I'm bringing a thread back up from the dead just for an update. Sorry it took so long, but the yukon seems to be a-ok as far as starting, and charging goes. I think it was the starter. It eventually broke one of the starter bolts, and one of...

Nope. :( Does wrapping tape around partially burnt wires take care of them being shorted out at all? I was hoping as long as I kept them from touching one another or something metal by wrapping them in electrical tape it'd be good but I don't know? I just assumed it was gonna be one serious...

12.15 was after they drove it. Haven't driven it since, and now it's at 11.72. I'd say it's been roughly 5 hours or so?

Unfortunately they already drove the yukon today but the last reading i took it was 12.15.....maybe if it doesn't get driven again today i can take another reading tonight for a better idea of what's going on.

fed up with this thing (searched)

haha okay....well hopefully that is all that's needed...BUT...the battery itself as of recently...has been dying in the matter of a couple weeks at a time...so if i re-checked voltage after only a couple hours...is that really gonna mean anything? I would love for it to do so but who knows, ya...
