Got started on tuning my Tahoe with HP Tuners. It's been a lot of fun the last two weeks making incremental changes, I have done around 15 revisions so far. Can't wait to get into the fueling and timing once I get my wideband set up. I am very happy with the changes I put in so far to the trans...
Can you actually hear the knock? I would look into trying to figure out if it's actually knock or the sensors picking up false knock. If you are pulling so much timing that it's barley making enough power to move, that would seem like it's false knock.
Dang, I hope not. From my little knowledge, it's really important to investigate any engine and trans electrical issues on these computer controlled transmissions. Fingers crossed.
Me too! Never thought I would be into automatic transmissions when I was younger, but now I really like them. I'm getting pretty close to buying one on FB marketplace for cheap and digging into it. All that is in my way is a garage sale I promised my girlfriend.
If you interested in tuning it yourself and want to put the time in to DIY, you totally can! I suggest looking up "goat rope garage" on youtube and watch his gen3 tuning videos if interested in DIY. I am into tuning so I enjoy researching it. Spending a lot of time on it myself is enjoyable to...
I hear these are super nice for the 4l60e....
"The shift from 3.06 ratio (1st) to 1.63 ratio (2nd) is a dramatic ratio change, allowing engine RPM drop that results in performance engines falling out of the optimal power band. "
This 2.84 input carrier kit changes these popular units from a...
Yes, I have a 3" foam bump stop in the rear but like Randy said its not so much an uptravel problem as it is a pinion pointing up problem. Way back when I came to the conclusion the pinion angle is terrible and I have just been too lazy to do something about it. I do need limit straps front and...
Hey thanks that's perfect! The Nelson harness looks great, they have the two trigger wires already pinned which is great. Looks like racetronix only have a universal harness.
You made me double check! But nope. Just saw it "available from other sellers for less" and I took the gamble. Still haven't put 12v to it yet to see if it works but so far looks legit.

Not susure it does say "Sold by Amazon services" on the receipt and there is a sticker on the box that...
Finished up the front. Originals were worse than I thought initially. Drives so much better now. I would have never thought swaybar bushings would be so important. Very happy with the results.
I use a water filter pitcher and use Nalgene bottles with the narrow mouth. Narrow mouth is much easier to drink from without spilling or looking ridiculous, lol.
I also use the smaller 16oz a lot as well. A lot of times I just don't need a big ass jug of water.
Did the rear sway bar bushings and link bushings. Energy Suspension - 35214R.
Not bad, needed a vice to press the new bushings into the links.
Ride quality is surprisingly better. Was not expecting that big of an improvement! My factory bushings didn't look bad at all. Might do the fronts here...
Sweet thank you for the info!
Awesome thanks! And thanks for the other replies guys.
Have a couple other questions if yall don't mind.
I haven't been able to get in touch ScottyBoy about the relay harnesses he sells. Has anyone heard from him lately? Anyone know of an alternative harness...
Ok so I saw this super cheap brand new electric fan for my 2004 Tahoe on Amazon WITH free shipping for 35 bucks totall.....I figured it was worth the gamble. It just came in. I don't see any part numbers, brand or anything. Would y'all mind looking at the pics to confirm if this fan will fit???
Finally got around to changing my knock sensors. Had both wires tied to the one good sensor since October when I bought the rig. Felt good to clean up the engine valley as well. Hoping to do sway bar bushing and links tomorrow.
Oh and I also installed my 1.25 hub centric spacers as well...
What brand did you go with? I'm replacing mine this weekend if I can possibly next. Check valve went out in it, have to prime to start. I picked up a Delphi for 195.
