    4l60e conversion

Unless you've already purchased the transmission, I would suggest going through MonsterTransmission.com. I purchased my transfer case through them. The customer service I received was out of this world. I will be going back to them when ever I get around to beefing up my transmission. Just...

    Convert to turbo diesel?

Does anyone have a Tahoe with the 6.5L turbo diesel I hear about every time I go to a parts store? I've never seen one and never heard of one who actually has one Has anyone traded their 5.7 Vortec for a diesel? Granted, doing this is just pipe dreams, but wouldn't it be bad ass to have a...

    Top End Kits, options?

If there is no real power advantage from these though, as in price is worth the power, I'm thinking I'll just do an Edelbrock or CompCams cam in addition to the full on MSD ignition set up I'll be doing.

    Top End Kits, options?

Nothing is legal in Cali. Not my truck not my guns not my political views. But any way. It's a 1998. It's already equipped with Vortec 5.7L. I'd like to know if there is an upgrade from this that's worth the money.

New here, got Q's regarding drop (pic of truck inside)

Actually, I'm kind of a fan of the way leveling kits look. It's a meaner stance with out being too low. Kinda like, just enough. This is my opinion, though. Go with your gut. Make sure you do with it what you want. Not necessarily what every body else thinks you should do with it. You'll be...

    Top End Kits, options?

I just flipped through an article in the June issue of Chevy High Performance. Specifically their article on top end kits titled "Top Brawn". I picked it up because I figured, a small block 350 is a small block 350. But all the kits they show seem to be for carburated engines. Searching...

New here, got Q's regarding drop (pic of truck inside)

I agree, but if you're really hell bent on wanting it. You should try searching the suspension forum.

2nd Row Tahoe seats in a 2dr Tahoe???

I thought about doing something like this. Taking the bench seats out of say a GMT400 pickup, with fold down center armrest and putting it in back there. With the subs going under the seat, I won't be able to fold them down anyways.

    Sway bar removal?

That costs large amounts of money. And would have my daily driver down for an extended period of time. As poor Marine, I just don't have the resources to put into that.

    Sway bar removal?

Where did you buy those? And what does it do for you off-road? Is it worth the money spent?

    Sway bar removal?

Pros and cons of sway bar removal. Pros: more flex in the front. Cons: less stable, especially in turns. Has anyone done this? Is there anything I'm not seeing as a disadvantage to this? I figure it will be less stable in turns and such but I don't drive fast anyways. And I'm...

    EGR removal

I do live in Cali. Which does suck for emissions, and gun owners. :bawl: I'm convinced, I'll be sticking with the EGR.

    Problem with vette servo!!! HELP!?!?!

Monster Transmission sells transmission rebuild kits that include the Corvette servos. These kits also include new electronics and shift programming. I'm planning on getting it... eventually, funds/time permitting. You could email them, they may have the answers you need...

    EGR removal

Exhaust Gas Recycle, I think it is. Helps warm your engine on start up from what I was told. So, while I was working with a friend we some how got on the subject of EGR and how he gets rid of his on every car he's owned. Says he'd rather trade a rough start for more power. As we were busy I...

    Side Exhaust?

I don't think I would like it. But that's just my opinion, I also don't like the look of nerf bars or steps. At least not on a lifted rig. If you're keeping it stock or lowering her, it would probably look sick as hell. You would get points for having a set up like no body else(or very few.) At...

    Rear bumper removal/Frame paint

Well, I've looked multiple times from multiple angles. My bumper is definitely bolted and welded on. So, because I don't feel like cutting and welding it back on to paint. Does any body know how well products like this: http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=362 or this...

    Rear bumper removal/Frame paint

Hmmm... I'll have to look closer. I was seeing bolts and welds holding it on. I'd like to be able to put it back on. I wouldn't like the roll pan look on my truck and it would look stupid with the hitch sticking out. I'm going to sleep now.
