Okay just to clear it... you said you have a week to prepare and want me to come install the trans cooler for you since you have no time and wonder why you received a little attitude? Anyways...
As for the adjustable ball, I doubt it will work for you as I'm pretty sure your going to be over...
Tell ya what. Just hook up to it and go. Why bother asking our advice if your not going to listen to any of it.
Maybe the one I towed was built better or something. All I know was it was heavy... the weight wasn't the problem though. Around town and city driving had no problem towing the...
Man good luck is all I can say...
Can it tow it? Yes absolutely... is it gonna be fun? Hell no. Your going to be down shifting left and right and struggling up every hill.
I towed a 20 ft enclosed with mine and it sucked on the highway. Just a big wind drag.
Sure the Dodge ram tows that...
Wow no kidding. Figured you moved on to a different vehicle or something. Welcome back.
Your retrofit is what first drove me to do my retrofit.
Yea the lack of cabin filters sucks. However if you Google it, people have added them back in. They cut the slot and then use the 99-02 "door" to cover...
The wiring is only different in the trucks. The suvs are the same...
I believe the bulb locations might be a little different on the suv, but the wiring and bulbs are the same.
The trucks are different because in 03 they made the turn signals alternate with 2 bulbs like the front does.
Ls1fans.net has the pulley.
The factory harness will attach to the under hood fuse panel. Pretty sure you have to remove the fuse panel cover so you can access the power stud
I'm betting he has the sub wired to 1 ohm and that's what's making it distort with anything over a low volume. Also will make the dash lights flicker cause the amp is working way harder than it is supposed to.
I did 30 on the fronts, isn't dark enough. Next will be 15 or 20 up front. But it is legal at 30.
I did 18 over the whole rear of the truck and I am happy with that. You can't see in, but you can see out just fine day or night.
We have to do state inspections, and they gave me hell on my last...
First off all of my projectors are bi-xenon. So hid lows and highs.
I wired my acura tl hid ballasts to my low beam circuit. I wired my mini h1 ballasts to my fog circuit so I can use them independent from each other. And I wired all 4 high beam solenoids on the projectors to my high beam...
99-02 have different consoles than 03-06. Also denali and escalade have a different console as well.
To put the 03+ in a 02 you have to change the lower dash and radio trim panels as well. But it is pretty much a bolt in deal. I think there is a little work to do fitting the ac controls and...
That is bi-xenon hid projectors from a actual lexus rx350.
My retrofit I did on my yukon has acura tl projectors and mini h1 projectors. 4 low and 4 high beams. Leaps and bounds better light output than anything I have driven next to in the past 2 years.
The oem projectors usually need a...
My problem with most of the retrofit companies is they charge like 1k to do mini h1 or d2s.... I want real projectors like rx350 or something.... but those take alot more work. I find it hard to pay 1k for a hid setup that costs about 250 complete and as simple to install as minis...
Okay let's clear this up. If you have a 00-06 tahoe or suburban you can use a 99-02 silverado bumper. If you have a 00-06 yukon or yukon xl you can use a 99-02 sierra bumper. However you can't use a gmc bumper on a chevy and vise versa. Also 03-06 silverado bumpers won't work. You can use 03-06...
Yea. Even though your housings are fixed, the should have 2 or 3 screws on the back behind the projector to adjust the beam. Have you checked? It's a pain to pull the housing, turn the screw, and put back in for each adjustment.
What do you have in yours? I have Tl and MH1's in my yukon lights. Love it.
To the op. Definitely go with the retrofit.Distance TL low only by YukonXL04 posted Oct 29, 2014 at 8:21 AM
That's just my tl low beams.
Either a single 2 ohm or a dual 4 ohm subwoofer will work. If you wire both + together and both - together on the dual 4 ohm you will end up at 2 ohms.
So how many of you wanting to upgrade have hydroboost? Mine does. I'm running the factory set up and mine stops great for what it is. Stops way better than my last sierra did I'm assuming because it has more weight on the rear and doesn't just lock up...
Does it stop like my acura tl does? No...
I just did that swap on mine. I only hooked up the power outlets, I have no use for the bose amp.
However I believe if you search for a amp bypass diagram you will get the wire colors needed
As for the outlets, I cut all the plugs off the harness then soldered a length of wire to it and hard...
