No i did not put it where the original bushing was. I need to get down on the dirty floor and take a pic of what I did. I described it pretty well. Loosened all 4 bolts of the rack so they are just holding on by a thread, could completely unbolt but this is just what I did, took that coil...
to check for bad front wheel bearings just jack the truck up and shake the wheel with your hands at 12 and 6. Should be solid. The back isnt quite the same but you could sure jack it up and shake that wheel as well to see if its loose at all. While you jack up each corner just look things...
I just bought some 2ohm 25watt resistors, $2 a piece, cut off the old connector and connected the 2 wires to the resistor. This has been covered alot, i believe there is a sticky so no need to search. Ive used different resistors, anything between 2 to 4 ohm and 25w to 100w ive had no error...
the seat flips up then theres a carpeted panel velcro'd to the floor covering up the whole mount holding each seat to the floor. Its 4 bolts sticking out of the floor with nuts that go on over the seat bracket. The bracket you could easily drill new holes in it to mount the seat further back...
See my post on my topic about this. I kind of found a fix, cheap and easy and works, just not conventional.

I think i found a fix for this actually.
I got under the truck and I could move the rack a little with my hands on the passenger side. So I took off the bolts to the passenger side bracket of the rack and sure enough the mount was loose as hell not holding the rack solid at all. So i wanted...
i had a similar leak last year. everything that i read said its either oil pan or rear main. I changed the oil pan gasket and that sealed mine up. I cant remember how to tell between the 2 leaks.
If its higher than that, i would lean towards the oil pressure sensor, they are known to leak on...
Not sure if the GMC and Chevy have the same heated/cooled seats but if so then this will fix it.
The majority of the heated seat problems is the burnt pin on the plug for the CCSM module under the passenger seat. We clean the contact and reconnect so itll work for another week or month or...
My driver window is slow going up and down. Worse when it gets cold. Should i just grease all the moving parts or are the motors an issue on these things like every other luxury GM car and truck for the past 20 years?
part of the problem is the 6 speed tranny, so many gears it has to shift to catch up sometimes. If they even sniff a hill they shift, its annoying. If Im driving hills i stay off the cruise control and use the gas so it doesnt shift all the time.
yeah, i should take out the pins and grease those up good too. Forgot to say, when i turn the rotor around there is a spot its harder to turn, hopefully its just brakes not anything axle related. Ill have to get the caliper and maybe rotor off to confirm the the axle turns without issue.
So Ive narrowed this squeaking down to the driver side rear wheel. It sounds like a brakes squeal but only at a certain point on the rotor, so when you accelerate you hear the squeaking spot get faster and faster. Its pretty loud. Embarassing. Goes away while driving if you are on the...
people have gone to gm and even they dont offer the bushings. they dont want you to press them in. a reman rack is about $160 from rockauto, not terrible but more than bushings. Maybe dorman will come out with some someday
ive read your posts before that you have changed a bunch of them. what brands have you tried? I see 4 different brands on rockauto, all remans but i would think they would put new bushings on. For $160-$200 ill probably just get one one of these days. Plus you get new inner tie rods so thats...
Interesting thanks ill look into that

old bushing comes off easy but new one must not go on that easy.
I have an 07 escalade esv. For over a year Ive been chasing a looseness feeling in the steering. When you hit bumps you can feel it in the steering wheel. Its got a little worse over the past year and gets worse after driving for a few miles. Feels like a loose shock or something because you...
