I moved out of jersey over twenty years ago but from what i remember You can`t dump a pipe if it`s under the passenger compartment which made it illegal for any car or suv. I failed inspection for dumping the exhaust over the axle on my old chevelle but passed for the same setup on a pickup...
Judging from the amount of oil on three of the shocks it looks like they`re leaking from the seals and time to replace them but to be sure you can just unbolt one end of the shock and try to compress it and if it`s real easy to push in they`re blown. I have 5100`s on my yukon and they have a...
From what i`ve heard drive by wire was first used on the 05 models but i have heard a few people say their late 04 trucks had it too so 04 and down but i`m not 100% sure.
When i got my cluster rebuilt with the trans temp gauge installed it was wintertime and i thought the gauge was broken because it never moved if it was about 35-40 or lower. It wasn`t until it warmed up that it finally moved but even when it`s 90 degrees out mine has never gone over 150 even...
I have always used goodmark steel hoods without any problems with fitment and once bought a reflexxion hood and it was identical to the goodmark. http://www.ebay.com/itm/GOODMARK-2-STEEL-COWL-HOOD-99-02-SILVERADO-00-06-SUBURBAN-TAHOE-4147-200-991-/161762826981?fits=Model%3ATahoe...
I have never owned a fiberglass hood but i have many friends that had them and every one of them had fitment issues. They had to either shave some off or add some fiberglass to make the gaps even close and the reason they recommend the use of hood pins is because the front edges of the hood...
I saw this old thread a few days ago, http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/cam-for-stock-stall.65033/
Check out the newest posts, Someone posted a cam part number and a video of how it sounds and it might fit your needs.
A normal amount of metal on a drain plug should be very fine almost like mud when you wipe it off. What you have there in my opinion is way too much and way too big for there to not be a problem in your engine. You can try the o ring but i`d say your problem runs a bit deeper than an o ring.
I`ve seen a bunch of rebuilds on ebay reasonably priced with good warranties but shipping isn`t cheap. If it were me i would shop around for a good local machine shop and have your engine rebuilt if you can do without the truck for a while. I never liked the idea a having a new engine shipped...
You can swap in 07 tahoe front rotors and calipers, They`re 13 inch rotors and your stock ones are 12 inch. It`s a direct bolt on all you need is rotors calipers and most important you also need the 07 caliper brackets. I did the swap and at the same time replaced all the rotors with R-1...
If i remember correctly he sends your cluster back the next day. I live only a few hours away from digital dash solutions so it was one day to get it there one day to rebuild it and i think i had it back and in the truck in 3 or 4 days tops. I had him put the SS silverado white faceplate in...
I love the 20`s, Handling is improved from the shorter sidewall and i really didn`t feel a difference in the ride quality over the stock 16`s. The only bad thing is the bigger diameter and the extra weight. My stock 16`s tire and wheel was 76 pounds and the 20`s weighed in at 94 pounds each.
I can`t really say how much better they are because i also upgraded to the 07+ calipers, rotors and braided stainless lines when i replaced the brakes. But the difference was very noticeable.
I left the stock springs in, I always carry my three 100 pound dogs and about another few hundred pounds of stuff to our vacation home and with that much weight and the trailer it doesn`t squat enough for me to bother changing them or adding the bags. I would try the bags first before buying...
