SiriusXM reception and traffic - anyone in CT?

Yes, see above. I was told it's "operating as designed." They compared my truck with another on the lot. All I have to say is that Sirius in my Ford was 1000x better. I had zero signal loss, until I went in a parking garage or long tunnel. XM support told me that Sirius uses different...

SiriusXM reception and traffic - anyone in CT?

Finally took mine in. They said it's functioning as designed. :-( They took mine on the highway and noted cutout points, then took another truck from inventory out and noted that it cutout in the same spots. Piss poor. My Ford with Sirius had flawless reception.

What made you go with an SUV over a Truck?

Just sold my Raptor to get into a 2016 Yukon XL. What made me? A wife, three kids and a Golden Retriever who all want to be comfy when we travel and/or tow boat. It's a smooth ride and I can't complain (except that XM != Sirius no matter what GM tells you - reception SUCKS). Raptor will forever...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Deleted chrome around windows, running boards, and fog lights (professional vinyl wrap). Tinted front windows. Bye, bye bling!

How many of you DO NOT experience buffetting and vibration problem?

2016 Yukon XL. 1,000 miles. No buffeting. Awesome vehicle.

SiriusXM reception and traffic - anyone in CT?

Google showing me that GM = XM, Ford = Sirius. This is my first XM vehicle if that's true. Even though the companies merged, do they use different satellites, still? That would suck. Reading that northern states get crappy XM reception due to satellites being closer to earth. What I read was...

SiriusXM reception and traffic - anyone in CT?

2016 Yukon XL I've had Sirius since it came out. This is my 4th vehicle with it. I'm getting spotty reception - a simulated static sound is played often enough to annoy the crap out of me, anyway. None of my other radios did that. If there was signal loss (like in a parking garage) it was radio...

Finally got my custom ordered YukonXL. It's a nice truck. Already missing my Raptor, though. :-S Question: is there a way to lock the reverse camera grid lines so they don't bend when I turn the wheel? I'm sure it's a good feature, but the Ford's were locked straight and I am very used to...

Oh no. You just triggered me and now I must retreat to my safe space.

    Tints

Don't you guys have trouble driving at night with such dark tint? I matched my front to factory back, and I find turning onto side streets tricky if they aren't really well lit. Not that I couldn't see another car or anything, but I worry about there being a person or animal that I can't see...

Went down and drove the Denali. It was loaded, bringing MSRP to 78k. That's too rich for my blood, even at invoice. (I get supplier pricing, which is about the same as invoice.) Honestly, compared to the 6.2 in my Raptor it was just OK in terms of power. It wasn't appreciably better than the 5.3...

Damn. Dealer's find fell through. No one can find me a black SLT with 2nd row buckets, heavy duty towing, 18" wheels. All the trucks have bench seats or no heavy towing. Argh. I either have to do a custom order, or go for a Denali... but I really don't care for all the bling. Do I want to pay...

That is true. Confirmed with the dealer. Coming from a Raptor, though, the Denali is just to chromed-out for my taste. I want a more aggressive look, so am sticking to 18" wheels and as little chrome as possible. I'll probably wrap the window chrome in black vinyl to hide it. I do wish I could...

Oh, cool. I'd searched YouTube and only found one clip. I will head over to the perf section. Looks like my dealer may have found me a truck, though, so if do a catback it will be an aftermarket install (I was hoping to sneak it past my wife :-))

Just heard from my dealer and he found a match. He'll know by tomorrow afternoon if he can get it for me. Fingers crossed. Sounds like you're family is just starting out. I'm well past baby seat days - my oldest (13) is almost 6' tall. So, yes, you will definitely outgrow that shorty at some...

Ugh. No Yuk XLs anywhere that are black with heavy duty tow and 2nd row buckets. Seems like GM likes to pair heavy duty tow with bench seats. I'm gonna have to do a custom order, looks like. Since I get to pick out everything, anyone running the Borla catback? Worth $1k?

I'll have to dig one up. Pretty much stock. I added NAV-TV, factory beadlock capable wheels, roll-x tonneau, and tint.

I haven't. I'm used to driving big, loud trucks. The Yukon drove more like a car - it was whisper quiet. No weird ear pressure or anything for me, though. My dealer messed up and the truck he found lacked heavy duty towing. New search underway, and may end up custom ordering. I guess I have to...

Trading my '13 Ford SVT Raptor for a family truckster... No, I'm not crazy. Just married with kids. Wait, maybe that makes me crazy? ;-) Anyway, I'll have a 2016 Yukon XL SLT with trailer package, open road, stock 18" wheels (hopefully less susceptible to buffeting?), black on black early next...
