I can't believe the hight difference with just a level lift and new tires. It looks more like a suspension lift. Looks good! Wish my burb looked like that after I did my level lift.

Gig 'Em emann! '98 here.

That's the exact set up I am about to install on mine (white '09). Glad to see someone else pulled the trigger on the Goodyear's, was wondering how the ride was and if any trimming was needed.

Gig 'Em Matthew! '07 here! Good to hear from a fellow Aggie on here!

The Duratracs ride very well and quiet for such an aggressive tread. At highway speeds the truck seems to have a little more sway over the stock Duelers. I currently have 60 psi in them so the Tahoe rides a little rougher...I may try 50 psi to see how that feels.

Check out post #10 on the first page. These pics show what trimming/zip tying I did.

Anyone know they process of getting the TPMS to stop giving me "check tire" messages when I run a higher pressure like this? I think the entire TPMS needs to be changed to a different unit? or just reprogrammed?

You have to take it to a dealership or someone with Tech II so they can go in and reprogram the "normal" tire pressure.....

i knew they guy at the dealership was full of it when i asked them about it and he told me that i would have to get a tire shop to do it

do you think the EFI Live Autocal unit would do it? maybe i should ask BB themselves...

From what I have read online, the sway may be caused by the tires themselves. Lots of reviews with con's in regards to sidewall strength at highway speeds. That's the only thing holding me back between these and 285 BFG's. I need a tire that can get me up and down the oilfield, at the deer lease, and still perform on the highway given the amount of driving I do (35-40K per year)

well...mine get me up and down the highway and in the oil field daily. I went to a bachelor party the other weekend in the hill country, close to Fredericksburg....these tires loved to be on the rock, gravel, dirt road. They even climbed very steep inclines made of loose gravel/dirt without complaint.

I went with the Truxxx brand because I had 2 different buddies that had nothing but great things to say about them. Also, I got it for X-mas so I just really hinted to it to the woman and she got it for me. Oh, and they sent me a couple of free T-shirts LOL

I think the Truxx front kit was about 200 bucks. The rear kit, I got on ebay...45 bucks shipped? or something like that.

I did the rear lift because I didnt want it to have the "cali" lean and I wanted to keep some forward rake as I do a little bit of towing

Tires are from Discount tire...291 a piece i think. I know they are a little bit pricey but I really love the meaty look of them and they ride quiet and smooth for as aggressive as they are. not to mention the tax return money was burning a hole in my pocket!
