Thanks @Rocket Man that's what I thought but really wasn't sure. There's a decent bundle of wires left over from the swap that I have yet to dive into. Gonna need to find a good wire diagram I suppose.

Its gonna be part of the cruise control adventure I suppose. I feel as though the NV4500 is pretty invincible in such a light a low powered application so a temp gauge is sorta useless but I like data.

Alldatadiy is cheap and has all the wiring diagrams. I think the 02’s are different since they changed a bunch of stuff in 03. But here is the wiring diagram for mine, yours might be the same. Looks like the temperature sensor is a brown wire.

Since @Rocket Man did the hard part of finding the diagram I think @Tonyrodz should bring me a cluster and come wire it up for me.

I'd start looking into it soon if I didn't have 2 engines to install in the coming weeks. Need a good week of not working in trucks to reignite my passion.:ehcapt:
HA! I bought a trans temp gauge before I found out a stock cluster with a trans temp gauge was pnp. Just sayin'.

Yeah I’ve been taking a break from working on trucks and instead I’ve been fixing my fences and sanding/ staining my deck. Yay.

Uhg I have a section of fence to do as well as an old shed to demo and some dirt work to do. Sometimes I wish I lived in a maintenance free apartment again. Or a warehouse with an apartment inside.

Hell no, I hated apartment life. I had a spare bedroom that I used as a garage but hated that I couldn’t work on shit outside. I was always on the managers radar.

Hahaha I got in trouble for painting a hood in my apartment spare room one time during winter. In my defense I taped the entire room off like Dexter and even made a half ass ventilation system. Everything was going well until I opened the door to get out and let the paint dry. Enough fumes hit the smoke detector in the hallway and the fire department was dispatched. I had all the plastic removed and bagged and the hood hidden when they got there but the smell was so obvious I got a big "disappointed dad" lecture from the apartment manager.

I could totally live in a hanger with an apartment built in tho. No need for grass to take care of or fences to maintain. 5 acres is nice for doing donuts in and staying away from infected COVIDies but its a lot of work.

Lmao. How did you hide a hood in an apartment? Behind the curtains? Too funny.
