2023 5.3 knock

2023 5.3 V8. 13k miles.

Did a remote start and could hear the engine knocking from 50 yards away.

Got in, put in drive to try to get home and it went away. When home wouldn’t remote start, but would manual start. No more knock.

No codes on dash. Thoughts?

I’m about to ask a dumb question, but have you check the oil level? Newer vehicles are known to burn oil at an obnoxious rate. Low oil will cause knock and the oil light won’t typically turn on until it’s out of oil completely.

Had an oil change at dealer about 2 weeks before. If it burned that much there are way bigger issues.

Dealer couldn’t replicate. But showed video and said definitely lifter. They couldn’t figure out which one so replacing both banks.
