Update: The 4.10 gearing works great the acceleration is much better than the 4.88 gearing and the transmission is much happier too. It is very quiet now also.

I installed a Dashpaq to get the speedo corrected. The acceleration is better than stock and the fuel economy is very close to when it was stock. I need to run it a week or so to see what the numbers average out to. So far I have not tried the highest performance tune for for high octane fuel because I need to run the tank out and get the 91 in there.

I will be interested in how things do in the next week or so and how well it does when I leave the high altitude here and go down to sea level in California for the holidays.

Nice update! I bet the tranny likes it better. What brand did you get this time?

The tranny loves it and it is much faster than before.

I was told by a lot of people original GM gears are the best way to go an I must agree they are very quiet and smooth running.

Installed two new batteries and hooked the winch to the second battery. It works great.

I also made my own heavy duty cromoly roof rack cross bars that are much stronger than stock plus there are three of them. I will be making a basket for it and a standing platform to.
