Hello,
My 2012 Denali is 600-620rpm at idle, and fluctuates sometimes. Is this a bit low?
What is the factory setting for idle speed? If tuning it up to 700rpm, will there be a benefit?
Thank you for your advice.

Normal. Some tuners raise it to 650 to avoid stalls after certain parameters are altered. Any higher will just use more fuel than necessary IMO. Anyone else?

If the factory rpm is already at 650, I probably need to clean the throttle body. How could I find out the default rpm?

600-610 RPM is common

Will increasing to 650 or 700 hurt the engine in long run?

It will flux. The BCM is handling what the alternator is loading and the a/c fan(s), power steering, headlights + brake lights, compressor, etc, are pulling loads too. I need to buy a Tech 2 scanner too. It’s the only way to get into the mind of this machine to see why it’s doing these things.
