Automatic to Manual Trans swap... Anyone done it?

I'm wondering if anyone has tried this with any level of success. I know that the Dodge guys are doing it because of how crappy the Dodge automatics are, but I haven't heard of anyone doing it to a Tahoe or Yukon?

What are your thoughts on it? Would it be fairly simple?

at least one user has. forgot the name but maybe he might see this post. besides putting in the clutch system ant tranny. the pcm and iirc driveshaft modification.

It's been done, just not very often. This is a good thread on swapping them.

keep in mind the most wanted tranny is the nv4500. it is the bomb and everyone knows it so expect to pay big bucks for it. broken ones have gone for $1000+ sometimes.

I did the swap and used an nv4500 it's a very straight forward swap. The lengths of the nv4500 and 4l60e are identical and it bolts right up. The only thing I had to change was the input shaft on my transfer case so they Trans and the t case could mesh together.
