Should define your desires...

Is money an issue?
Future plans to modify could change your desire for early or late years...
Warranty availability based on miles/years?
Some people would only want a vehicle which is still in manufacturers warranty, while others have no desire to go that route... of course, if that is the case, the older models will be much more economical...

That is really the main issue here though... the reliability of particular years is a topic which has been argued both ways on this board...

What do you mean by "best"!?

Well, the newer you can get and the lowest miles you can get will afford you more options and improvements of the years if the body style. So I think that limits you to 2010 or '11 based on what you're wanting by 'best' available.

I'd like an 09 with low miles. I think that is the only year model Tahoes could get the 6.0 liter engine? And they added the 6-speed transmission and Bluetooth, but didn't take away the automatic windshield wipers until 2010.
