Haha I have had too many different setups.
You can use different extenders, but the Belltech ones are best (also more expensive). The DJM ones I had (like all the other parts I have bought from them) did not line up right with the mounting holes. I had to bang them aorund a bit to get them to fit. I also had some BT ones that I mocked up for installation (before I bought the Belltech SP shocks) and they lined right up. I did not install them though.
If you have a set of the DJM or McG ones that are on right now, and they are lined up fine, just keep them.

The rear Bilstein HD part number is BIL F4-BE5-E375-H0

Yeah I bought them and regretted it pretty quick.
I also bought a set of Monroe shocks that were complete junk too.
In the rear, I have ran stocks, stocks with extenders, Bilstein HDs with extenders, Belltech SP, Monroe Monotubes, and Bilstein 5100 shocks.
The last set is the best one after the Pedders with Bilstein HD + extenders. That felt like I was riding on clouds.

Any chance you have the part number on the bilstein 5100's? I'm desperately need to change my rear shocks out. Also were you running them without extenders?

I'm not home but the part number should be in the last couple pages for the 5100s

For the shorter 5100s (for 4" or more of drop), you want the Bilstein BE5-6252-H5 5100 Series Gas Shock Absorber .
Also, no, you should not use extenders with these shocks. Just run them straight.

I forgot to mention that the 5100 rear shock bolts will need to be changed to the next smaller bolt size (you can buy it from Home Depot) when using them because the stock shock size is a bit too thick.
You will also need nylon lock nuts to stop them from coming loose. All suspension components need nuts similar to this.

Thanks Modded. I've been waiting to get on break from school so i can finally get the rear suspension sorted out. Just order a set.

Hey Modded.........

In your opinion, the BellTech SP are worse than the stock shocks?

Also, are the HD Bilsteins same as the stock Z-71 Tahoe / Suburban shocks?

And, Modded.......... The HD Bilsteins vs. the Bilstein 5100.......Which one did you like better and why?

Thanks.
