Debadge or not debadge, that is the question…

"Debadging" as it's called nowadays started out as far back as I can recall in the '60s with the muscle cars. You were street racing what looked like grandma's grocery getter but you removed the "409" badge and put on stock rims with the dog dish caps on it. We called them "Sleepers". My how things have changed. Now it's "Murdered Out" and even Harley has created a whole new line that's all black. Still don't understand how black costs more than chrome. LOL! Personally, I don't want something that looks like everyone else's.

Never really cared for the debadge look on any car. Thought it looked cool on the first car I saw debadged many years ago and the appeal faded by the second or third car I saw.

I debated the same, I had done it to my previous truck, (though it was the 90's and removing the plastic badges/tailgate flash was the thing to do. I removed my side emblems/logos only, leaving the rear badging on the tailgate.
It did clean the lines up nicely, I also added "Carbon Fiber" Gunskin material over the grille and back GMC.
I did add a Polished Stainless US Flag onto the rear pillars (facing appropriate directions of course).
It's your ride, if you'd like to remove them, go ahead, you can always order new badges (or cooler aftermarket ones) and add them back on.

I will ALWAYS remove any trace of dealer advertising (badges, stickers, license plate frames, etc.) as soon as possible. The dealer is not paying me anything extra to be a moving billboard for them so that stuff has to go....

Other than that, with any vehicle that I've ever owned, I've always debadged or converted monotone badging i.e. black car/black badges unless the vehicle is white. White cars/trucks I pretty much leave the emblems and logos intact.
