Oh I gotcha , usually people just skip the tails all together. no need to cut unless they're really bad but I always polish and wax everytime I do the body. Helps protect and prolong the finish of the lights , same with heads. I always see super shiny mirror like black paint or whatever color paint but the headlights and tails are dull, oxidized and scratched to hell lol. Bugs my ocd beyond the limits lol.

Ok I'll never question your methods again  keep being awesome

And yea i recently found out that you never know if white paint needs some cleaning till you finish all the steps. my last truck was that super bright white dodge color. I didn't realize how dull it was, before it looked like the basic cheap ford white, after I did a full stage detail on the paint it literally glows and blinds you.I miss that color .PW7 white

New LED fog lights arrived Amazon Prime, but I wanted to wait until dark to show the difference. Shocking how yellow those OEM headlights are and how white those fog lights are. I know, it needs a retro, just like my 06 Tahoe, so don't beat me up too badly.

Found these LUYED LED fog lights on Amazon. I bought the same brand for the 06 and they are bright. These are $16 shipped. 900 lumen H16 LEDs. This same brand has a few other options, ranging up to $40, but I didn't see the need to spend more money for more lumens when they won't be used every night.

Here's the link.

Wow those are nice. they make them pretty bright now at 900lm, where you can just get the bulb instead of the full kit. Are they more of a 5000k or 6000?

might have to consider a set for the wife's car:hmm:. she has projector lows highs and fogs.

I just had another look at them. They claim 6500K in the product details and they are very white. Even more so when compared to the stock halogens. They put out a good amount of coverage to the side and throw it forward as well. I like them.

Yeah the WDT is growing on me more and more. It shines great and hides the dirt very well. The wife loves pretty much everything about the truck and even said the Plasti Dip looked bad and was happy that I was color matching the bow ties today. lol I just need to convince her that even a small drop to ease that wheel well gap would be of benefit. Even so it rides pretty damn nice.

Looks great!
Like you, I find Meguiar's Ultimate Compound to be an excellent product---broadly available, inexpensive, easy to use, and gives fantastic results whether applied by hand or by machine (DA).
Highly recommended. ;)

ETA: Collinite 845 is top-notch as well. I used it on my Pitch Black Challenger R/T with great results. At one point I waxed the deck lid and then placed the bottle down on it momentarily to re-fold a microfiber towel-----and the deck lid surface was so slick that the bottle slid instead of standing in place!

Thx man.
I like the cutting power, but still gentle enough and easy to use. More so than just regular rubbing compound which tends to get too abrasive.

Wife calls me this morning and says that she saw a white Suburban with black bow ties, but liked the color matched bow ties better on our LTZ. Winning when the wife actually starts noticing the small mods and likes what you have done.

Think I can sneak in a mild drop, exhaust or some 22s? o_O

This is what you do, say "Hey babe you look so pretty today, btw I have the stock suspension parts off the 06 in the garage just collecting dust. Those parts are interchangeable , if I install them on Burb it will actually lower it."

Just have to hide the receipt you get from Tony and bury the stock parts in the backyard.

We're here for you buddy :Handshake:
