I ended up using a Youtube hack to clean the inejctors... DC Power supply and jury rigged carb cleaner aerosol can to backflush and then flush the injectors. I pulled the orings off cleaned them too and silicone greased them. I have the customary green (oil resistant) Harbor Freight oring kit. However, not sure if those stand up to gasoline. Ran brake cleaner through the entire fuel rail. I think I'll wait to get upgraded injectors until I get the new motor. Although, some of the spray patterns were pretty sad when I ran carb cleaner through the injector.
It also occurred to me that maybe our heads are designed to take a 2 hole injector. It creates a flat curtain that would span across the flow of air inside the cathedral port / intake port. Two more ports would spread out that flow some of it going into the oncoming air, the other with. This didn't occur to me until (1) I shopped online for about 4 hours looking for 4 hole with little success (2) I looked at how everything fit together. Probably I'm overthinking this whole thing and wrong on all accounts.
Anyways, some shots of my project
Anybody know where to get new foam pads for under the intake manifold?
