Getting back into the 2 door for good.

Getting the entire dash dyed for $125.00 so thats $155.00 for the dash. Now just gotta pull the tahoes dash and get ready to put this one in. It'll be dyed tomorrow afternoon. Hope the whole dash project done by the weekend. Gonna hit up the junkyard again today and try to find my auto 4wd switch that seems to be broken.

Dash is painted and waiting to go in, need to pull out all the old harness shit from the one I got painted in inticipation for the tahoes harness to go in its place. Should have it in on schedule by Sunday night. Still no luck on the transfer case... Still in 4Lo.

So figured out I have a NP or a NV 246 transfer case. I'm gonna pull the battery for 30 minutes for a TCCM reset see if that works, then if not I'm gonna try to put the transfer case into Neutral by pushing the 2Hi and 4Lo button at the same time.

Black if you have the NP8 Auto4wd a scanner can be used to narrow down you 4wd problem. What exactly is going wrong with it?

Its been stuck in 4 low forever. I go to change into anything else 4hi 2hi even tryed the neutral option no luck, just flashes and the 4 lo stays solid. I hear a small click probably from the solenoid every time I push a button. I tryed banging on it with a hammer (the transfer case) and I tryed to reset the TCCM by disconnecting the battery for 30+ minutes. What next ?! I REALLY appreciate ANY help man.

Haven't done anything haha. Its just sitting there ******* out.. Just pulled the junkyard dash had it painted/dyed. If I can get this thing into 2Hi and swap that dash that means I can drive it to where I need to go and swap axles/lift/bumpers/etc next week.

But heres a picture of where it sits on hood tires and no grille, it sat out back of my house for a total of a year and a half. I just brought it to this spot last week. Needs one hell of a bath / buff / wax everything. BUT the interior, other then the current dash is looking great, the body is AUSOME only a couple little dents and the underbody still looks pretty dang good!

Can you get the unit scanned to access the trouble code? if not possible to be sure you may have a failed encoder. You would would have to replace the shift motor assembly.

Thank you brotherin' I'm doubting this transfer case has any broken mechanical parts. Its gotta be something small (electrical) or something. I think its just locked up only been used a few times in its lifespan.
