good choice sticking with the colors IMO, it will stand out and look good with the black add-ons.

still planning on getting the bumper and rockers Line-Xed but it needs to hit the body shop for a few things before that can happen (F-in Indiana Winters).

6.0 swap will be awesome!

Thanks for agreeing with me on that one, yeah I love these colors. Same thing with your 2 tone it looks great and its rare on a 2 door just like mine as far as I can tell around here atleast. My latest collab of thoughts is that the LQ4 will be in the truck and running with the tranny and the dash swap in a month. Thats only if I can find the motor and one that I can afford. Whats to high a mileage? All the motors I can find are 80,000 + miles.

I've been looking, my k1500 as it sits weighs well over 5100 pounds probably which is the last time I weighed it without bumpers tires/wheels. If a stock 4wd 2 door tahoe weighs roughly 4500 pounds. It'll probably sit below 5,500 pounds when its done. The LQ4 should get the truck moving relatively "quick" and theres a possibility I might even see 20 mpg? Or is that impossible with 4.10 gears / 35's / bumpers.

If ur engine is really bad ass then yea weight will say aw shit we cant slow it down n its possible to get 20 mpg but to me its unlikely because tahoes have very bad aerodynamics

not sure if you will see 20mpg on 4.10's. (though i have the vortec. so ? haha)

are you buying and dropping the engine in as is or rebuliding it? my truck has 190,000 on it and other than the odd idle problem i need to dig into farther it runs great! 80,000 wouldn't bother me.

When I buy the motor I'm gonna set it on a stand and clean it up repaint if needed. I'm not really interested in a cam. This is a DD I don't want it to have a loopy idle I don't think.. If anything gets rebuilt it'll only be top end so a pretty much drop in for now.
