As stated before you have the wrong harness. Pin 33 doesn't work for you. Stop looking at pin 33 lol.
For the 03+ it measures a c pressure or some crap to activate the fans. We older trucks pick the signal from the a.c. compressor turning on hence the need for what should be a wire tap on your harness instead of a pin connection. So when my compressor turns on one fan activates on hhigh.
Like I said the 03+ trucks have better fan control but our setup does the job.
No idea if you can modify your harness or not.
The security relearn process is on here somewhere. A scan tool should be able to get rid of check engine light code that follows.
Thanks for the help....I'm still working with Blackbear at the moment. If they think I can get a better setup and not have to hassle with an additional harness then I might go that route but I'm just so confused at the moment. I understand what I need to do as far as I could take the easy way out and just get the correct harness and be done with it. But I think Blackbear has another idea for me.
Rather than crossing lines, make sure you follow what Justin has discussed with you via email. You purchased the wrong harness, but we are having you do a work around.
In short, the PCM you are going to use, needs to be sent in to be set up for PIN 33.
Your last sentence is the one that confuses me the most.
There is already a pin in my #33 slot on my PCM. So how will I manage to fit another PIN into that slot?
If Justin reprograms my PCM for that slot(#33) as a fan control then what function do I lose?
What does the #33 pin control from the factory?
