Finally Got the Axles Back

Finally got them back from DCA FAB. 4.10's are all set with the appropriate backlash. So I got started by putting the new diff covers on. No fluid will be added until I have everything mocked up and ready to paint.

I did the front axle first because I thought it would be the easiest. Well it would have if I was not shorted a pumpkinside 3" u bolt. The company shall remain nameless!

You can look at these HD perch plates and Ubolts and see why I did not use the stock ones. Some say overkill, I say "preventative maintenance"!

Now when you look at the pass side perch plate, you can see I have the outside Ubolt, but not a Ubolt next to the pumpkin. Thats because the pumpkin side runs a 3" 5/8 Ubolt. All the others run a 3"

Now on the rear axle I am doing a disc conversion. Lots of research. There is a kit for about $569. I aint paying that. So I did a K5 chevy bracket, 2001 Dodge 4x4 rotors and a Chevy 1 ton caliper. She will have NO problem Stopping!

I set the rear perch plates right away and cut the U bolts down to length.

Great choice in brakes.

Nothing wrong with over building a off road rig as if it's attached it can break and will at come point lol.
