Got everything from Amazon yesterday to do the rear diff seal tonight. I’m pretty pumped. Got my oil and the gasket from Amazon. And then I noticed the part number.....it’s the wrong one. But they themselves mislabeled it with their small label . Hello people can we read the very large manufacturers part number please?! So I ran to the dealership this morning and thankfully they had a gasket in stock. Now it’s no specialty lube locker but it’s the factory gasket and only cost me $19.87! Plus he tossed in a bottle of gasket sealant for free!

So while changing the rear diff gasket last weekend, I found my spare tire wasn’t coming down and releasing like it was supposed to. So this weekend I decided to fix the hoist issue.

I went to the dealership and grabbed a new hoist which was redesigned without the secondary safety latch, which is what catches and doesn’t allow the tire to come down. Cost was $180....I wasn’t thrilled but it was the price of convenience.

When I started I found this video super helpful in getting the tire to drop and out of the way.

After getting the tire out of the way, I looked at what I had. Good wire and a faulty latch. Decided I don’t want to spend $180 so how can I fix this?! A GRINDER! So I just grounded off the hook part of the secondary latch to make it flat. Now it goes in and out with out catching and works great.

Only bad thing is apparently there is a 35% restocking fee for returned parts :321:

Well my radiator tank has cracked. I know it’s at least 10 years old because I haven’t changed it since I’ve had it.

Any thoughts on replacement radiators? Mishimoto, OEM, custom all aluminum?

Can’t wait to get in there and put the new one in!

Well got around to replacing the lock actuator on my liftgate. Super simple and easy. 1 7mm bolt for the inner grab loop, 3 10mm bolts holding the locking actuator bracket, 2 T15 star screw holding the actuator to the bracket. 15-20 minute.

First issue was getting the liftgate open because the actuator wasn’t working. The handle nor the window button worked. I used this YouTube video to figure out how to open them.

Well I got a new antenna from Amazon today. My .50 cal bullet antenna was stolen. And the person that stole it was kind enough not to unscrew it, but instead they ripped it off breaking the plastic air dam trim

Got a stubby antenna that gets way more reception so I’m not mad about the bullet antenna being stolen. Just mad about the air dam trim
