Alright this thing Is finally fixed!! I hope....

My buddy hit me up after I posted on Facebook that I was in need of a passenger side axle tube and actuator assembly. Luckily his 07 came with a spare 4.10 front axle. He offered it for free Just had to drive a couple hours to pick it up! :)

Of course while swapping this I ended up breaking my 4wd actuator ugh so there was an unexpected 70 bucks but I guess if I’m in there I might as well make sure everything is new and not worn out. Found some nice presents on the drain plug and found the culprit to my 4wd problem one I got the passenger tube removed E48AD3B3-9468-4742-A565-7115C6D9ABB8.jpeg418D8D66-FEBC-48EF-A682-E006A79EE7A3.jpeg
Everything inside was a little chewed up/locked up. But got everything done, and everything seems to be working again so far.

Of course the rtv I used for the tube to diff connection was the only stuff I had which is correct but it’s 24hr set time.
Forgot to take a picture but got the rear diff oil changed out with some Mobil 1 75w-90
Transfer case oil changed with ac delco auto trak 2
Once the front diff sets up a little more I’ll get it filled with 80w-90 and back on the ground for a test drive.

Honestly a very easy swap though and didn’t even have to pull the cv shaft out or remove a wheel. 3AA6E54F-F0DF-4EF6-A263-B3FA7E5CE7D8.jpeg

Almost forgot last week I decided to put a new tensioner on the front that matched the newness of the water pump lol couldn’t resist even if mine worked great before it was too dirty and used looking. :bleh:

Almost got myself some ppv wheels....well I did get some PPV wheels, but I ended up getting them for my buddy instead cause I don’t need them for 1 and 2 I don’t want to cut my lower ball joint stud to fit them. 40 bucks though it was well worth it regardless. Old dude took them off his nnbs the day he bought it and they sat in his garage under a bench until he sold them to me. 6C50051E-3426-4D37-9D98-A6AF8585625E.jpeg13DFFFD1-59CF-4DD7-9BFD-727C40AFDFEC.jpeg

You have 4.10's? The 07 diff fit your 02?

just used the passenger axle tube and actuator assembly. Still have the 4.10 front diff sitting there I have no use for it I’ll try to find a buddy with 4.10s and let him have it or something lol. Mine is 3.73. His is a nbs 07 and everything looked the same. The tube/fork assembly was slightly different but not enough to cause issue. Just looked like it was slightly updated shaping of the actuator fork

Why does the lower ball joint stud need trimming for those PPV wheels?

just because of the 2” drop spindles putting it that much lower. If you use drop spindles with 4wd you have to cut like a 1/2” off the upper ball joint stud to clear the cv boot also. This is uncut on mine currently and not a lot of space with 20’s even CC3C3A05-73F7-4162-8A99-7A3D49DAF560.jpeg
