As far as the c20 goes I have been casually throwing parts in the bed and cab over the past few years. Building the Tahoe took over any chance of me working on it.
I had a good buddy pass in a car wreck 5 years ago. Talked to him a couple days before. We were close with our love for old rusty slammed trucks. And talked about we both needed to get ours back on the road. The grille that is on my truck came from him and idc if this thing is fully restored and perfect one day I will not change that grille. I had a memory on Facebook come up with him and I and it really kicked my ass into gear. The past 3 months I spent every spare second I had working on it.
Tore the front end off and cleaned/painted it. Here is a list of what i have done so far.

Originally wasn’t planning on the ls swap yet but found this one with full stock harness, 4l60 trans and all accessories for 800 so I jumped on it.
Had a few hiccups here and there but overall fairly easy swap and easy to adapt.
Typical 5.3 broken exhaust manifold studs. Luckily only had to weld and remove 2
